NYC Summer Streets Celebration

This weekend August 17th is the annual Summer Streets celebration here in New York City. For the first three Saturdays, our New York City streets will become a public space for bike riding, running, walking and other sustainable forms of transportation. Last year over 300,000 people took advantage of the open streets and this year we imagine more. Join me and others during this celebration from 7am to 1pm.

The route starts at 72nd street at 5th avenue and travels south ending at Foley Sq. rest stop. It consists of seven total miles with five rest stops and engagement areas. Each stop offers a unique and fun activity taking place from food, fitness, music, dog park, obstacle courses and more.

Summer Streets celebration will will be hosting free activities such as Yoga classes, fitness & sports adventure programs, activities for children and more. It’s a great way to promote a healthy lifestyle, sustainable forms of transportation and a safe environment for family and friends.

Ride with me and make your mark with thousands of other New Yorkers!
